Looking for a carpenter in Dubai? We handle custom wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, wooden doors, furniture repair, flooring, and joinery for apartments, villas, offices and retail units. Call-outs start at AED 150, repairs are often same-day, and every job carries a 12-month workmanship warranty.
Call +971 55 711 3252 or WhatsApp us for a quote.

Two kinds of work come through our workshop. Repair call-outs, where a door sticks, a hinge has pulled out, or a drawer no longer runs. And custom builds, where a wardrobe, kitchen or TV unit is designed, measured, fabricated and installed.
Repairs happen on site, usually in one visit. Custom work is built in our own workshop in Dubai, then delivered and fitted, which gives a cleaner finish and keeps the dust out of your home.
We work for homeowners, tenants, landlords, property managers, interior designers, fit-out contractors, office managers, restaurants and retail operators. Apartments, villas, townhouses, offices, showrooms and hotels across Dubai, Sharjah and the wider UAE.
As a carpentry company in Dubai, we also sit within a wider technical services business, so when a job crosses into painting or ceiling work, one team closes it.
Built-in and walk-in wardrobes, sliding and hinged doors, internal shelving, drawer units and hanging rails. Made to your wall, not to a catalogue size. Sliding doors need a level floor track; on an uneven floor they roll open on their own, so we shim the track before fixing it rather than after the client complains.
New kitchen cabinets, carcass repairs, door replacement and full refacing. Refacing keeps a sound carcass and replaces doors, fronts and hardware for roughly a third of a new kitchen. The sink base is always the first unit to fail in Dubai kitchens, so we check that carcass before quoting anything.
Floating TV units, media walls with cable management, slatted and panelled feature walls. A wall-hung TV unit loaded with equipment needs real fixing, not plugs into plasterboard. More on that further down this page.
Door supply and hanging, frame and jamb repair, hinge and handle replacement, lock fitting, sliding and pocket door adjustment. Most sticking doors are not warped. They have dropped on worn hinges, and rehanging on new hinges costs a fraction of replacing the leaf.
Bed frames, sofa frames, dining tables and chairs, desks, wardrobes and drawers. Loose joints, broken legs, failed runners, split panels and scratched surfaces. Older solid wood furniture is almost always worth repairing. Particleboard flat-pack usually is not, and we say so before taking your money.
Flat-pack wardrobes, beds, bookshelves, desks and storage units assembled properly and secured to the wall where the design requires it. Tall units supplied with an anti-tip bracket need that bracket fixed into something solid, which in a Dubai apartment usually means finding the stud first.
Engineered wood and parquet installation, board replacement, sanding, polishing and skirting or architrave fitting. Flooring needs to acclimatise in the room for 48 hours before laying. Boards laid straight off a hot delivery truck shrink and gap within a month.
Timber partitions, room dividers, floating shelves, bookcases, storage benches and under-stair units. Floating shelves sag because the bracket is undersized for the span, not because the timber is weak. We size brackets to the load and the span.
Reception desks, workstations, meeting room tables, display units, counters, banquette seating and shopfitting. Commercial work is scheduled outside trading hours or overnight so the space keeps operating.
Pergolas, decking, gazebos, garden benches and privacy screens. UAE sun destroys untreated softwood within two seasons. Outdoor work needs hardwood or properly treated and sealed timber, and it needs re-oiling annually to survive.
Hourly works for small, unpredictable jobs: a door adjustment, a hinge replacement, a few shelves, flat-pack assembly. You pay for the time, and that is fair for both sides.
Fixed price works for anything measurable: a wardrobe, a kitchen, a run of panelling, a reception desk. The scope is known, so the price should be known.
The trap is paying hourly for a job that should have been quoted fixed. The meter runs while the carpenter drives to the hardware shop for a part he should have brought. If a job has a defined end point, ask for a fixed quote and get it in writing before anyone starts.
Repair call-out is AED 150, which covers travel, diagnosis, and a fixed repair price before work starts. For custom work, the site visit and measurement are free, with a written quote the same day naming the material, the hardware, and the price.

Material grade moves the price most, followed by hardware grade and finish. After that: wall condition, ceiling height, whether the piece is built on site or in the workshop, and access in towers where everything goes up in a booked service lift.
Standard MDF machines beautifully and takes paint and laminate well, which makes it the default for wardrobes and painted joinery. It also swells permanently once water reaches it. Anywhere near a sink, bathroom or AC drip tray needs moisture-resistant MDF, which costs around 20% more and is worth every dirham.
Plywood handles moisture and load better than MDF and holds screws far better, which matters for carcasses, shelving and anything wall-hung. Marine-grade ply is the right call for kitchen sink bases and bathroom vanities. Blockboard suits long shelves and door cores where weight is a concern.
Solid oak, walnut, ash and teak for furniture, doors and exposed surfaces. Veneered board gives the same look across large panels without the movement a solid panel would have. Solid wood expands and contracts with humidity, so panelled construction and expansion gaps are not optional here.
Melamine-faced board is the cost-effective workhorse for wardrobe and kitchen interiors. High-pressure laminate is tougher for worktops and high-traffic surfaces. Acrylic gives a high-gloss finish that photographs well and shows every fingerprint.
A quote that just says “wood” is hiding the grade. Ask which board, which thickness, and whether it is moisture-resistant.
The carcass outlives the hardware on almost every job we are called back to.
Unbranded hinges sag within 12 to 18 months of daily use, and a sagging hinge drops the door, which then catches the one beside it. Unbranded drawer runners lose their soft-close action first, then start dropping the drawer front. Replacing failed hinges across twenty wardrobe doors costs more in labour than specifying proper ones would have cost at the start.
We fit recognised-brand hinges and runners as standard and name the brand and model on the quote. If a competing quote is noticeably cheaper, the hardware is usually where the saving came from.
Most apartment partition walls in Dubai are gypsum board on metal studs. Hollow behind the face, with a board skin around 12mm thick.
Standard plugs into that board hold almost nothing. A floating TV unit, a wall-hung wardrobe or a loaded shelf fixed into plasterboard will pull out, usually taking a chunk of wall with it. We see it most on media walls where the TV, soundbar and console all hang off one unit.
We locate the studs first, fix into them where the layout allows, add timber or steel backing behind the board where it does not, and use load-rated cavity anchors only where the weight genuinely suits them. Where a wall needs opening up and reinstating, our gypsum and false ceiling team patches it properly.
Wood takes on moisture in summer humidity and gives it back in cooler months. A door planed to fit tightly in January binds in August. We ease doors with seasonal movement in mind rather than trimming them to fit a single day’s conditions.
Standard MDF under a leaking sink or behind a bathroom vanity swells, delaminates at the edges, and never recovers. It cannot be dried out or repaired. If your cabinet base has gone spongy, the panel gets replaced, and the leak gets fixed first. Our plumbing team handles that side.
Heat and humidity cycling break down the adhesive on veneer and edge banding, which lifts at corners and door edges. Caught early, it re-bonds. Left for months, moisture gets into the core, and the panel is finished.
The carcass decides it, not the doors.
A sound carcass with tired or dated doors is a refacing job. New doors, fronts, hardware and edging cost 30% to 40% of a full replacement and last just as long.
A carcass that has swollen, delaminated, or taken water damage is finished. Hanging new doors on a failing box means doing the whole thing again in two years, and you will have paid twice.
Same test on furniture. Solid timber with loose joints is worth repairing. Particleboard that has swollen or crumbled around the fixings is not.
Dubai apartment walls are rarely square or plumb, and ceiling heights vary across a single room by more than people expect.
Build a wardrobe to nominal dimensions, and you get a tapered gap at one end, wider at the top than the bottom. That gap is what separates a fitted wardrobe from a freestanding one pushed against a wall.
We measure every run at three heights, check the walls for plumb and the floor for level, build to the smallest dimension, and scribe filler panels to the actual wall profile. It adds an hour at the survey stage, and it is the difference between a built-in that looks built-in and one that does not.

Measurement at three heights, wall and floor checks, material and hardware discussion. 30 to 60 minutes, written quote the same day.

Layout confirmed, board grade and finish chosen, hardware specified by brand. You approve before anything is cut.

Cutting, edge banding, drilling, and dry assembly in our workshop. 5 to 12 working days depending on scope.

Delivered in sections, floors protected, carcasses levelled and fixed to the wall structure rather than the board face.

Filler panels scribed to the wall, doors aligned, hinges and runners adjusted so every gap matches across the run.

Walk-through in daylight, snags corrected, site cleaned and waste removed. Warranty documentation handed over.

Some carpentry cannot wait. A jammed or broken front door, a failed lock, collapsed shelving, a wardrobe door off its hinges, a broken bed frame.
Where our schedule allows, we get a carpenter to you the same day. The call-out is AED 150, and you get a fixed repair price before any work starts, not an open-ended hourly meter.
If the job turns out to cross trades, which happens with door locks and powered fittings, our electricians pick up that part without you booking a second company.
Most Dubai towers require a contractor NOC before work starts. Building management typically wants a trade licence copy, public liability insurance, worker Emirates ID details, and a refundable deposit between AED 1,000 and 5,000 against common-area damage.
You also need a booked service lift for material delivery, since wardrobe panels do not go up in a passenger lift. Drilling and noisy work is restricted in most buildings to 9 am–6 pm on weekdays, and some ban it on Fridays entirely.
Approval takes 2 to 5 working days. Tell us your building when you book, and we start the submission straight away, because it sits on the critical path for apartment jobs.
Get written landlord consent before fixing anything permanent to walls, floors or ceilings. Check your tenancy clause too, since many Dubai contracts restrict alterations outright. A verbal yes from an agent will not protect your deposit.
Most contracts require the property to be returned in original condition. That means removing built-ins, repairing the fixing points, and repainting the affected walls. Budget for all three, and plan it alongside move-out painting so the inspection sees a finished wall rather than a patched one.

Valid Dubai trade licence, public liability cover, and worker insurance, with documentation kept NOC-ready so tower security is a formality rather than a wasted trip.
Our quote states the board grade, thickness, finish, and hardware brand. If we open up a wall and find something nobody could see, we stop and quote it separately for approval.
Twelve months covering joints, alignment, finish, and installation. Hardware carries its own manufacturer warranty, usually 12 to 24 months. Moisture damage from leaks and shelves loaded beyond their rated capacity sit outside it, and we say so at the quote stage.
Custom work is built by our own carpenters in our own workshop. Nothing gets passed down a chain of subcontractors where the price drops and so does the specification.
Carpentry rarely finishes a room on its own. We handle the painting, gypsum and ceiling work, and tiling in-house.
This job always needs three trades. We handle the waterproofing, the plumbing and the tiling in-house, so nobody blames the trade before them.
FAQs
Repair call-outs start at AED 150 including diagnosis, with most small jobs landing between AED 150 and 600. Furniture assembly runs AED 150 to 450 per item. Custom work is quoted fixed: built-in wardrobes from AED 1,400 per linear metre, kitchen cabinets from AED 900 per unit.
AED 1,400 to 3,500 per linear metre depending on board grade, finish, hardware, and whether doors are hinged or sliding. A 4m bedroom wardrobe typically lands between AED 6,000 and 14,000 complete. A full walk-in closet runs AED 9,000 to 28,000.
Both, depending on the work. Small unpredictable jobs like door adjustments and assembly are charged against the AED 150 call-out plus a fixed repair price. Anything measurable, such as a wardrobe, kitchen or panelling run, is quoted at a fixed price in writing before we start.
A TV unit takes 6 to 10 working days in the workshop plus a day to install. A single built-in wardrobe takes 7 to 12 days plus 1 to 2 days for fitting. A full kitchen runs 12 to 20 days plus 3 to 5 days for installation. Tower NOC approval adds 2 to 5 days.
Yes. Our quotes include the board, edging, hardware, fixings, and finish, with grades and brands specified. Nothing gets added at the end. If you want a specific material or hardware brand, we price it that way and show you the difference before you commit.
Use moisture-resistant MDF for wardrobes and painted joinery, and marine-grade plywood for kitchen sink bases and bathroom vanities. Standard MDF swells permanently once water reaches it and cannot be repaired. MR board costs around 20% more and removes the most common failure we are called back for.
Loose joints, broken legs, failed runners, split panels and scratched surfaces all repair well on solid timber. Swollen MDF or particleboard cannot be dried out or restored, so the affected panel gets replaced. We tell you which situation you have before quoting, not after.
Yes, done correctly. Most Dubai apartment partitions are gypsum board on metal studs, and standard plugs will not hold a loaded unit. We locate studs, add timber or steel backing behind the board where needed, and use load-rated anchors only where the weight genuinely suits them.
Yes, AED 150 to 450 per item depending on size and complexity, and AED 200 to 500 for beds. We also secure tall units to the wall using the supplied anti-tip bracket, which means finding a stud rather than relying on a plug in plasterboard.
Wood absorbs moisture in summer humidity and expands, so a door planed to a tight fit in winter binds in August. Usually the hinges have also dropped. We rehang on fresh hinges and ease the door, allowing for seasonal movement rather than trimming it to fit one day’s conditions.
Yes, where our schedule allows. Jammed doors, failed locks, collapsed shelving, detached wardrobe doors, and broken bed frames all qualify. Call-out is AED 150, and you get a fixed repair price on arrival before work starts. We operate 24/7 for urgent jobs.
Most towers require a contractor NOC: trade licence, insurance, worker Emirates ID, a refundable deposit of AED 1,000 to 5,000, and a booked service lift. Drilling is usually restricted to 9 am–6 pm on weekdays. Approval takes 2 to 5 working days, and we submit the package for you.
Yes, with written landlord consent, and check your tenancy clause first since many Dubai contracts restrict alterations. At handover, most contracts require the property to be returned in its original condition, meaning removal, repair of fixing points, and repainting. Budget for all three before committing to a built-in.
Twelve months on workmanship, covering joints, alignment, finish, and installation. Hardware carries the manufacturer’s own warranty, typically 12 to 24 months. Moisture damage from plumbing leaks and shelving loaded beyond its rated capacity are excluded, and we state that on the quote rather than afterwards.
Tell us what needs doing, your property type, and your building name. Repairs get a same-day slot where we can, and custom work gets a free measure with a written quote the same day.
